Makeup Artist To The Stars Reveals The Foundation We All Need In Our Lives

When it comes to learning a few tricks of the makeup trade, it doesn't get much better than tips from the master herself.

Expert in all things beauty with a top celebrity clientele, Sharleen Collins has shared some pearls of wisdom.

Her go-to-product this season is...DUN-DUN-DUUUN

According to the makeup guru, Laura Mercier tinted foundation is one product she hasn't been without. She reckons it is perfect for the Autumn and Winter months ahead.

As it's still quite warm - despite the rain - we should strive to look our best without the appearance of wearing too much makeup.

Wading through the deluge of hashtags there, she says the foundation is key to radiant skin and should be mixed with moisturiser.

For this, I'm a huge lover of the Primark PS Range. Their strobing moisturisers are incredible on the skin and will give you the most beautiful, iridescent, sunkissed look. They have light, medium and more bronzed tones.

It's the most affordable way to get your glow. And it's really effective too. As autumn approaches, try mixing a little of this moisturiser in with your preferred foundation.

For beauty hacks she swears by

My best trick would be to mix baby oil with a shimmering or glittering pigment for an ultra glow.

For this I use the 187 stippling brush from MAC Cosmetics; I buff it into the high points of the face and body - particularly the decollete - for the most beautiful glow.

It's more concentrated, so this is definitely a look that will take you effortlessly into night time.

The makeup artist is sought after by an array of celebrities - most recently she has worked with Xpose's Glenda Gilson and model and influencer Lena Lena.

When it comes solving the first world problem of transitioning your day makeup from day to night without too much effort (we've all been there), she has one simple tip.

Go for Wet and Wild black kohl pencil to smoke out the eye.

I am also a huge lover of So Sue Me lashes; a little smudging of kohl liner with these lashes on top and you're good to for a more glamorous look.

This last year has Sharleen launch her exclusive Makeup Academy on Dublin's Leeson's Street, soaring her career even further.

Her 12 year career in the beauty industry has seen her work her magic at worldwide events like Strictly Come Dancing, The X Factor, The Brit Awards & MTV London Fashion Week.

As well as turning her talented hand to music videos for The Wanted and U2, her work has featured in fashion bibles Vogue UK and Vogue Online.
