College Courses With The Highest Drop Out Rate In Ireland Have Been Revealed

Being a college dropout is nothing to be ashamed of - some of us change courses for different reasons - but it is interesting to see which courses make people say 'Bye Felicia'. So here it is: a new report by The Higher Education Authority (HEA) has revealed the courses with the highest drop out rates in Ireland.

The results found that 15% of students bail before their second year of study, and the courses with the highest drop out rates are Construction, Computer Science and Service disciplines.

Surprisingly, Education has the lowest dropout rate at 4%, and basically, no one drops out of the most popular courses such as Law, Medicine, and Veterinary.

One thing that was interesting from the report is that girls are more likely than guys to keep studying past the first year, and mature students are 2% more likely to drop out of college than school-leaving students.

Good news overall: you're statistically not going to drop out of college. But if you already have, we hope you find your path. Go forth, sweet butterflies.
