Leaving Cert Students React To Irish Paper One

This morning Leaving Cert students across the country sat Maths paper two. Based on the overwhelming reaction on Twitter, both the higher and ordinary level papers didn't go favourably for students. With only a brief break between the exams, students had to shake the trauma of Maths and focus on Irish paper one.

Irish paper one is mainly just the aural part of the exam, and then you write an essay on topics like social problems, politics or the environment. These sort of essays are best learnt off, as they generally follow the same format year after year.

Based on the Twitter reactions, there is a mixed reaction to Irish paper one. One Twitter user was thankful that the Irish paper boosted his confidence after the Maths paper.

Students were delighted to see that the housing crisis came up.

It wasn't all positive, however, the Health system (Córas Slainte as Gaeilge) didn't come up.

Students felt Máirtín on getting 577  points and going to Trinity was slightly insensitive given the circumstances.
