Watch: Leo Varadkar Warns Donald Tusk About British Media

It was a big day today for Irish and European politics, as the Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, and President of the EU Council, Donald Tusk, met up in Brussels to discuss the current situation between the UK and Ireland, and to thank the President of the EU Council for his continued support of Ireland and the border question.

They both took to the podium to discuss the issue, which is where Donald Tusk bravely said to British press;

"I've been wondering what that special place in hell looks like, for those who promoted Brexit without even a sketch of a plan how to carry it out safely."

Oooh, Burn. This, of course get international coverage all over the world as it was a bad-ass statement to make that we all thoroughly enjoyed.

But here in the little country of Ireland, we're not completely shocked because of course, we know that is the truth and we were all just waiting for someone to say it. All we really care about is what our Taoiseach was caught saying, unknowingly, by a left on mic, unbeknownst to the Leo.

He said "They'll give you terrible trouble in the British press for that", as they shake hands, to which Donald Tusk replies, "I know", ahh lads.

There's something we can all giggle at among the mess that is Brexit. Cheers for that Leo!
