10 Things You Instantly Miss About Being Single...

It may seem like a shock, but there are some things that every taken lady misses about being single. It has some serious perks. During your college years, your friends are all at different stages in relationships. Some may be in serious long term relationships, some are playing the field and others are single and loving life. If you're taken, here are ten things you're likely to miss about being single;

1) Flirting

Everyone loves flirting. Whether you're single or taken, everyone loves to have someone interested in them and sometimes it can't be helped. However, it's not wise to flirt wildly with someone if you're in a relationship. You don't want to be filled with shame and regret every time you talk to the opposite sex so keep your flirting to a minimum.

2)The chase.

Don't you sometimes miss waking up in the morning and getting butterflies in your stomach, wondering if you're going to get a text from your special someone? It's a pretty stressful experience if you're involved, but it's exciting all the same. So enjoy the uncertainty while you still can!

3) The first kiss.

The first kiss is and always will be the best. That moment you finally get to kiss someone you're really starting to fall for just can't be beaten. Unfortunately, it's quite hard to recreate, but by all means give it a go.

4) You get the whole bed.

If you live with your partner or spend a lot of time at each others houses, it's likely you don't have a full bed to yourself too often. You end up squished in a corner without any duvet. When you're single, you get to have the entire bed to yourself. Delicious.

5) You don't have to plan ahead.

When you're single, you don't have to worry about where you're staying tonight and whether you've got spare underwear in your bag. Sometimes plans change. You might think it's going to be a quiet night in and then suddenly, you're off on a massive bender getting seriously drunk. Better let the boyfriend know you'll be home late. Oh wait....

6) Me time.

When you're in a serious relationship, at college and have loads of mates, it can be really hard to find some time to yourself. You don't want to miss out on anything, but sometimes there's nothing better than burying yourself away in your bedroom alone with a massive bar of chocolate and a movie. Make sure you make time for this if you're in a relationship. It's beneficial for both you and the relationship.

7) No Jealousy.

It's unlikely that your man is cheating on you, but for some, there's always a niggle at the back of your head. We then panic that we have relationship issues and trust is a problem, but it isn't. It's just women for you! Instead of having to worry, as a singleton you don't have to deal with this vicious sin of jealousy. Now we're the jealous ones....

8) You can't dance to single ladies anymore.

Beyonce seems to have infiltrated her single ladies track into most club playlists, which proves wonderful for all of you that ARE single. But if you're on the dance floor with the boyfriend, you may have to sit this one out. Single women can get quite violent with their single ladies moves come out.

9) You don't have to watch football every evening.

If you watch more Match Of The Day than most teenage boys, it can get seriously boring after a while if football isn't your thang. You've already scrolled through your entire Instagram and Facebook home feeds to find something better to look at, but alas, you've run out of things to look at now. At least when you're single you have the power to watch whatever you like.

10) The bad dates.

Yes, dating can be really awful. Especially if you get nervous. You may have had to use the old 'get me out of here' phone call every so often, but you'll miss these dates when you're dating just one person. They make for great stories in the future all the same...
