5 of the Best Boyband Anthems

One Direction have released their new song "Best Song Ever." At Collegetimes, we bring you 5 much better boyband songs, including one of their own.
5) "Kiss You"- One Direction
The most popular boyband at the moment- so here it is- "Kiss You" was released as the third single from their second album and unlike the Ed-Sheeran penned "Little Things," at least exudes some level of pop fun. Still, do these five have what it takes to measure up to the boybands of the '90s? Only time will tell.

4) "All About You"- McFly
Perhaps not the more obvious boyband- this is still one of those anthems that falls into the category. The melody is sweet and makes women swoon on a level of 0.5, just a bit below Michael Buble's "Everything."

3) "Bye Bye Bye"- N Sync
N Sync are one of the most predominant boybands of the '90s. "Bye Bye Bye" is the most recognisable among a festoon of hits the boyband produced before JT went solo and had an acting career. Friends With Benefits aside, this shows the man has been at the core of the pop world for 15 years now!

2) "Never Forget"- Take That
And we never did... Take That are the only boyband that really managed to make an effective comeback and it's pretty much all down to Gary Barlow's songwriting. Though he never had much of a solo career, Take That were able to deliver his melodies and harmonies with precision. There is no finer British boyband and they may even be back with another album before too long.

1) "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)"- Backstreet Boys
Anyone who went and saw This Is The End recently, would have felt a ping of nostalgia when this tune played at the end of the movie. It has all the exuberance and liveliness of the '90s; a catchy melody, positive lyrics and a dance routine with a '90's fashion style. It's our number one because we refused to include Westlife and Boyzone!
