A Poem By Gareth Bale

Ahead of his big money move to Real Madrid, Gareth Bale felt so bad about leaving Spurs and chairman Daniel Levy that he decided to write a poem and send it into us.

Dear Mr.Levy,

Daniel Levy, transfer God, Cerberus of Spurs,
I want to leave for Real, sir, you probably have heard.
They’re calling now with lots of dough, I see an exit door,
And with the cash you’ll get for me you might fix Adeybayor.
100 mill they’re mentioning; a 10 mill sign-on fee,
I’m told that’s good by many men especially Robbie Keane.
Don’t hold me back, it’s been my dream so best to let me off,
I’d hate to wait till deadline day like Dimitar Berbatov.
They’re such a club, with lots of fans, and I like Ancelotti,
And with Ronaldo I can go and pull some top-notch totty.
This club’s been great, I’ll miss it so, and that I do concede,
But you must know there’s not a chance I’ll play Europa League.
Real’s bid is crazy figures; there’s lots and lots of zeros,
Be grateful that I stayed with you, remember the San Siro?
Paulinho’s in, you have Defoe, and now you have Soldado,
Accept the bid and cut the crap and drop the male bravado.
I know you’re tough, I know you’re hard, and like to drive a bargain,
But if I stay at White Hart Lane I’ll feel extremely chagrined.
So thank you fans and devotees, I’m Real’s number one man,
And Daniel if you block it you’ll get a headbutt from Zidane.

Saludos,

Gareth.
