Thursday 21st November; The Lumineers @ The o2

Folk and rock trio The Lumineers are set to play The o2 this Thursday 21st of November. Their debut single "Ho Hey" was probably one of the biggest songs of 2013, and undoubtedly a very catchy song.  After their two founding members, Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites, began wcriting music in 2005, it wasn't until December 2012 when their self-titled album started climbing the Billboard 200.

Unfortunately, standing tickets for this event are sold out.  But seated tickets are still available from herehttp://www.ticketmaster.ie/The-Lumineers-tickets/artist/1498863

This Thursday, Friday AND Saturday; Kodaline @ The Olympia Theatre

Dublin band Kodaline will play three sell-out gigs this week in Dublin's Olympia Theatre.  Childhood friends Steve, Mark and drummer Vinny May met at a younger age, living within two minutes of each other, and attending school choir together - which they admit they joined in a bid to pick up girls.  After creating the band, they recruited bassist Jason Boland and began writing music for two straight years, using past relationships and heartbreak to inspire much of their music.

When questioned on where the name "Kodaline" came from, band member Mark said “We made it up ourselves, but we later found out it’s a character on f***in’ World Of Warcraft. I promise you, we’ve never even played the game. It’s just a bizarre coincidence.”

With plans of another EP, live dates and a debut album in the pipeline, the future is looking bright for Kodaline.

After playing Electric Picnic 2013 on the Red Bull Stage 'Rave In The Woods', Klock has certainly secured himself a loyal Irish fanbase and develops an atmosphere you won't want to miss this Saturday.
