College Times Gig Guide - 25/11/13

30 Seconds To Mars - The o2

One of the world's most exciting rock bands 30 Seconds To Mars are taking their live tour to Dublin tonight at The o2, Dublin.  Since the release of their most recent album, LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS, which hit the top 10 album charts, the group have been playing an array of live gigs all over Europe, The US and Japan.

Thinking that this gig will be your average live rock set would be a big mistake, after these guys were awarded a Guinness World Book Record for "Longest Tour By A Rock Band" for their "This Is War" tour where they played over 311 shows in nearly 60 countries to over 3 million people.  Get set to see these guys rock the o2 tonight.  Support tonight comes from none other than Kerrang's "Best British Band": You Me At Six.

Check out their single, which they made a short film out of too.  Featuring celebrities like Alan Cumming, Ashley Olsen, Corey Feldman, James Franco, Juliette Lewis, Kanye West, Lily Collins, Lindsay Lohan, Olivia Wilde, Selena Gomez, Shaun White, and Steve Nash talking about Los Angeles, "The City Of Angels".

The Naked And Famous - The Olympia Theatre

New Zealand home and grown band The Naked and Famous are playing the Olympia Theatre, tonight, the 25th of November.

You'll certainly recognise The Naked and Famous' very distinctive sound from their single's like Punching In A Dream and Young Blood, both which sat securely in charts in New Zealand and quickly spreading all over the world as being one of electro-pop's most promising artists.

We wonder will there be any mention of Sunday's match tonight?

Klangkarussel - The Button Factory

Salzberg's finest talent Klangkarussell will play the Button Factory this Wednesday evening the 27th of November in association with Bedlam.  These two very ambitious Austrian's first hit the scene with their track "Sonnentanz", which racked up over a million YouTube hits after only one month and now with thanks to Will Heard's cover of the song, has over 20 million.

Annie Mac, Cyril Hahn and Duke Dumont - The Academy

Who would have ever expected three incredible acts like these, all performing live sets in one venue on one night?  This may well be one of the biggest nights of the year.  Sense Live presents BBC Radio 1's Friday and Saturday night host Annie Mac, along with support from Cyril Hahn and Duke Dumont.

Annie Mac has played a host of huge festivals this year, being no stranger to the stage of Creamfields, Bestival, London's LoveBox Festival and The Global Gathering.

After supporting act Duke Dumont played Oxegen Festival in Punchestown Racecourse this summer, there is no doubt he has secured a strong Irish fanbase that will be attending on the night.

Tickets for this gig are pretty much gold dust, if you were lucky enough to get one - Hang on to it tight!
