The Strypes Album Details

If you have not heard of them yet, you soon will. The Strypes are the latest up and coming Irish talent whose first album will be released this September.

Still in their teens, the quartet from County Cavan formed in 2008 and have since amassed a following for their traditional R & B '60s style and look, akin to that of the old mod bands. Elton John has praised them amongst many other notable veterans of rock n' roll and while they are by no means the orthodox pop group one might expect of today's youth, they still resonate with a great many.

Meeting Noel Gallagher in that jacket he started wearing during the High Flying Birds' first tour.

The album was recorded in 15 days in the studio and features a few covers and a few originals. Originally, they had hoped to record it in just a week, seeking inspiration from the likes of the Beatles who recorded their debut swiftly but this is still a feat, considering the months other artists spend. The album will be called Snapshot and looks to contain 12/13 tracks including "What A Shame," "She's So Fine" and "Angel Eyes."
