You Weren't That Into Him: Signs You Weren't in Love

Retrospect is 20/20 they say. It's not really. You see everything through a filtered haze, but some things do seem clearer when the dust clears after a breakup. What you thought was love, was actually intense like, lust or a self-delusion. It was never actually real. But at least you know that know and are able to get on with life. To be clear, you don't regret the relationship. The break-up has let you see what you want and don't want in a partner. That person meant a lot to you, you just didn't love them...
1) You Moved On Straight Away
I'm not talking about instantly going out with your friends and having sex with the first guy who'd have you. You honestly didn't feel any guilt or obligation to your ex to hold off for a while. You started fancying and pursuing a new person nearly straight away. Surely if a broken heart takes time to heal, your heart wasn't broken at all.
3) You Don't Feel Sad When You Return Their Stuff
Yeah, you're going to miss their hoodie but life will go on without it. You don't get sad when you box up your relationship stuff - photos, ticket stubs - you'll probably throw them away as well. You don't feel any connection to them anymore really. It's done.
4) You Don't Actively Stalk Them Online
Sure you check up on them from time to time, you aren't a robot you still care that they have a good life - unless they cheated then they can rot in hell - but you don't wait for their every upload and update. Frankly, they're not on your mind anymore, the cute guy from your Thursday tutorial is.
5) You Don't Miss Them
You feel guilty about it, but you don't. You can't make yourself feel something that you just don't. Everyone keeps asking you if you're OK and you almost feel like pretending to be sad, but you're not. Life's short. Why spend all day everyday mourning a relationship that you didn't enjoy? You remember your in-jokes and the good times, but you don't feel the need to relive them.
6) You Don't Drunk Dial Them
After a mad night out with your friends, theirs isn't the number you drunk dial/text at three in the morning. sure you call your friends, maybe even the cute guy in your Thursday tutorial, but your ex? No. They don't even get a draft.
7) You Know You Made The Right Decision
Maybe you grew apart, maybe their interests actually disgusted you. Whatever the case you know you're both better off not being together anymore. You were together so long you nearly forgot who you are by yourself. Before you can really fall for someone you should get to know who you are. Then find someone who actually likes you and go for it.
