11 Man-Crushes That Any Self-Respecting Straight Guy Has

There was a time not too long ago when a man would be almost burned at the stake for complimenting another man's feature and declaring his (totally heterosexual) love for him. Nowadays, we're much more open about our man-crushes, and I take it as a sign of how far we've come. Go on, admit it. You'd love to strike up a bromance with any of these 9 fine men.

11. Gabriel Macht.

A late bloomer to the acting circuit, Gabriel Macht plays the decadent lawyer Harvey Specter in the hit drama series "Suits." Whether it's Gabriel or the TV show's stylist who dresses him, we don't care. The man's got style, and he sets the benchmark for what every man should strive for when wearing a suit!

10. Justin Timberlake.

Unfortunately for us man-crushers, JT is married to the equally unbelievable Jessica Biel. Justin Timberlake finds success in anything he does - singing, acting, dancing, and business ventures! He's just an all-around nice guy.

9. Ryan Gosling.

This guy is probably the most lusted after man in the world at this moment in time, with girls queuing up for just a peek at him ever since his appearance in The Notebook. A lot of guys may envy Ryan Gosling for this, but not me. I can appreciate a good man when I see one. Take a bow sir.

8. Matthew McConaughey.

The McConaissance is well and truly upon us. McConaughey has recently halted all romcom and light-hearted funny jobs and stepped into more serious roles, such as True Detective and Dallas Buyers Club, and we love him for it. That unique Texas drawl is enough to entice any man. He totally embraced the "alright, alright, alright" as his own, and it's my favourite catch phrase ever! And he's one of the most effortlessly funny actors around!

7. Andrea Pirlo.

What can I say about this man? Apart from being one of the most stylish and smoothest men around today, Pirlo fashions a magnificent beard and has cemented his place in football history forever. Oh, and he's Italian.

6. Hugh Jackman.

Is there nothing this man can do? He can sing, he can act, he can dance, and he can deadlift a monstrous amount of weight in the gym, as we have seen in his vigorous workout routine for his roles in the latest X-Men and Wolverine films.

5. Robert Downey Jr.

One thing we know about Robert Downey Jr is that he knows how to party. He's had his fair share of trouble in the past but he's one of the celebrities on my bucket list to meet! He's like Charlie Sheen, only less crazy and maniacal!

4. Bradley Cooper.

I've never seen a Bradley Cooper movie that I haven't enjoyed. In fact, I'm always entertained by anything he's in. He's a top man, and I especially loved his dickhead performance in the Wedding Crashers before anybody knew who he was.

3. Tom Hardy.

Always the villain, never the hero. Tom Hardy is a cool dude, and if you've ever seen the movie "Warrior", you'll realise why he's at number 3 in my list of man-crushes. Bronson, Lawless and The Dark Knight Rises are some of his best performances. Understandably the girls also share our crush on Tom.

2. Channing Tatum.

I loved Channing Tatum in his early stuuf like Coach Carter and Step Up, where he has shown he can act, dance and entertain. Recently he has shown he can do more serious stuff and even achieved success in comedy with the 22 Jump Street series. And his name. Is it even a name? Whatever it is, it sounds ridiculously smooth. Props go out his parents. Say it 3 times over. Channing Tatum...

1. George Clooney.

Oh, George. Clooney has been the slickest man alive for a long time now, and shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, I don't think any man has gotten increasingly better looking the older they get quite like Clooney has. The man just oozes class and is so effortlessly cool. He's one of the very few men out there which grey hair actually looks good on him.
