There's a lot of furore about Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor these days but let's be honest, that nonsense is shit in comparison to the glory days of professional wrestling. I'm talking about the days when you'd set your video recorder to tape Sunday Night Heat on Channel 4 and sneak down to watch pay per views when everyone had gone to bed. Oh the memories! Some of these are from the late 90s, others from the early 2000s but you get the general idea.
1. Being absolutely terrified by Kane
The Undertaker was bad but Kane was even worse. Until he started speaking when he joined up with some of the lads from DX that is.
2. Trying to figure out how to set the video recorder to tape Sunday Night Heat on Channel 4
Looking back at it, Heat had some pretty dreadful matches with mostly unknowns and Val Venis but when you were 10 years old it seemed brilliant.

3. And then sneaking out of bed in the middle of the night to watch the odd pay-per-view
Every now and again Channel 4 would show some a pay-per-view and they were usually epic. Of course you wouldn't be allowed stay up so it often involved sneaking back down at one o'clock in the morning to watch the likes of Backlash or the Royal Rumble.

4. Steve Blackman never spoke but was shit cool
A man of few words. Any questions?
5. These guys...

6. The tag team division was sensational...
There were The Hardy Boyz, Dudley Boys, and Edge & Christian to name a few. They pioneered the TLC match and made high flyers a main attraction.

7. Perry Saturn left Terri Runnels for a mop
A storyline which wasn't that odd in the context of some others during the Attitude Era.

8. Kurt Angle loved milk. Like really loved it
As a child I absolutely hated Angle and it's only now I appreciate how brilliant a heel he actually was.
9. WWF Smackdown 2 was the greatest video game of all time

Hours and hours would be spent trying to break out of the cell in Hell in a Cell. Other games like WWF Attitude were also great but the end credits of Smackdown 2 nearly brought me to tears.
10. What does everybody want?
Al!

11. The countdown to Y2J
Welcome to ... Raw ... Is ... Jericho!
12. Mae Young gave birth to a hand. Mark Henry was the father
No words needed...

13. Shane McMahon liked to do things such this
After he had tried to smother Big Show in petrol of course.
14. And then of course declare war on his auld lad

WCW and ECW invading the WWF was a one of the biggest storylines in wrestling history. It was a shame a lot of WCW's best talent weren't part of it but at the time it was gripping television.
15. There was the time Big Boss Man drove off with Big Show's dead father's coffin
See above comment on Mae Young and Mark Henry.

16. And Triple H dressed as Kane and had relations with a corpse
This went way over my head at the time but looking back at it they definitely went a step too far here perhaps.

17. HHH was also liable to do things like this
Without doubt the most sinister thing I had seen in my life up until that point. Conor McGregor v Floyd Mayweather has nothing on this.

18. This fella was kind of popular
Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass!
19. Mike Tyson knocking out Shawn Michaels

Tyson! Tyson! Tyson!
20. The 2001 Royal Rumble was the greatest Rumble of all time
Kane eliminated a shit load of people, Honky Tonk Man was in it, Drew Carey was in it, and much more!

21. Rikishi did it for The Rock
The brilliant 'Who ran over Stone Cold?' storyline.
22. Meanwhile, Chris Jericho was getting plenty of material out of Stephanie McMahon's bust
McMahon and Jericho had some brilliant chemistry and Y2J's toilet humour was hilarious at the time ... I reiterate 'at the time.'

23. And of course, this was the greatest entrance of them all
Oh you didn't know!?
