A 96 and a half year old man had the most heart-warming reaction to the horse he backed winning at the Galway Races yesterday. The man was interviewed alongside trainer Michael O'Callaghan, who commented that the unnamed man was the oldest member of a racing club in the world.

When the mystery man's horse, Perfect Soldier, took the win, the camera man was quick to capture his reaction. The interviewer then asks the man for comment in regards to the win and he drops some philosophy on the viewers at home:

"Buy them well and you'll have them well... Buy them good and you'll have them good... Rear them well and you'll have them well!"

The man was honoured a few years ago for being the longest-serving Galway race-goer, which makes his win all the sweeter.

When the interviewer asked the man what he thought of the jockey, he answered "I won't give him too much pride! I won't give him too much honour".

We just wish that we will be that gas when we're his age!
