This article could stop here. If there was any justice in the world, I would rest these typing fingers and just give you the information you've come here for. There is literally no reason for me to continue this typing, you have come here but for one reason, to find out - as promised in the title of this article - the air date of the final season of Game Of Thrones. Well, unfortunately, this is not a fair world and I've an obligation to fill a minimum word count.
However, given that I can palpably feel your rage building and would ideally not like to have the College Times offices stormed by angry torch-bearing readers, yet again, I will instead just divulge the desired information and save any required padding for after this revelation.
HBO have announced in a Tweet today that the final season of Game Of Thrones will air three months from today, on April 14. To build, what I will demand be regarded as, 'hype' they also released a trailer to whet your appetites.

Game Of Thrones has become one of the most popular television shows of the last decade. With much of it filmed in Northern Ireland it has proved to be a boon to the local economy and has finally provided gainful employment to the large, and previously socially problematic, dragon population.
Given that there's three months prior to the actual air date of the new season, for anyone who has yet to watch this televisual bonanza - the production of which has single-handedly kept blacksmithing alive as a profession in Ireland - this gives you enough time to catch up on all the shenanigans.
