Holly Willoughby Left Shocked After Chef's Innuendo

Holly Willoughby Left Shocked After Chef's Innuendo

For some people, cooking is an end unto itself, the humble preparation of simple ingredients to be consumed and shared by yourself and with those closest to you. For others however it is an opportunity to unleash a blizzard of innuendo. Gino D'Acampo, the regular celebrity chef who appears on This Morning, is one such example of the latter; a frenzied whirlwind of Italian smut, he'll spend as much time, dicing and delicately preparing an aubergine as he will heavy-handedly pointed out that it looks a bit like a wang. But not actually like a wang, just sort of vaguely close enough for whatever allusion he makes to sort of work, even though, deep down, we all know that if someone's actually looked like an aubergine they ought to be immediately whisked to A&E. This is the sort of man we're dealing with; this is Gino D'Acampo.

Well, the ol' dog was at it again on This Morning. No sooner had he returned from his summer leave than he was causing all sorts of saucy mayhem from behind the sort of kitchen bit in the corner, where he is no doubt legally obliged to remain due to a restraining order from the hosts. Throughout his segment on the show, his new beard had been a hot topic of conversation, with Gino revealing that he's had some negative responses to his new look. Holly & Phil were quick to jump to his defence and insist that it suited him, rather than the truth of the matter which is that it makes him look like a rather unsettling man who owns a failing art gallery in Turin and drives everywhere on a Vespa with a carrier-bag duct-taped over the seat.

Gino joked that he would shave off the beard if they did a poll with the viewers and more people disliked it than liked it. He then revealed that his wife, Jessica, isn't a fan of it either, reporting that she'd said "If you don't shave up there [points at own face] then I will no longer shave down [points at own groin, representing his wife's]" Holly & Phil, who both realised during this what he was about to allude to, broke out in hysterics and tried to speak over him, shocked that a man on day time national television, tasked merely with the cooking of an aubergine, would allude to pubic hair.

He then, at the end of the segment, when they are revealing the results of the vote as to whether he should keep his beard, drops all pretence of innuendo and says "Well, I'm looking forward to my wife's thing... bush." To the bemused groans of Holly & Phil. Remarkable, utterly remarkable.
