Netflix Stop Production On House Of Cards Season 6 Due To Kevin Spacey Allegations

Netflix and the production company responsible for making House of Cards, Media Rights Capitol, have announced that they are suspending production on Season 6 of House of Cards "until further notice".

They had already announced that the show would not be returning for a season subsequent to this one in light of the allegations brought against Kevin Spacey.

Kevin Spacey, was accused by actor Anthony Rapp of sexually harassing the younger actor in 1986 at a house party when Mr. Rapp was only 14 years old and Kevin Spacey was 26 at the time.

Netflix and Media Rights Capitol issued a joint statement yesterday saying; "MRC and Netflix have decided to suspend production on House of Cards season six, until further notice, to give us time to review the current situation and address any concerns of our cast and crew."

The current season was still in production though it is believed that Kevin Spacey was not on set on Monday when the announcement was made to the cast and crew that filming would be suspended.

If only real US presidents were held to the same standards as their fictive counterparts over sexual assault then perhaps the world would be a slightly better/ less fucked place.
