Inside Prince's Amazing Home- Paisley Park

Prince's estate and studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota doesn't look much to his lavish taste from the outside. It actually looks more like any building in an industrial estate. Finished in 1988, the huge white pad has hardly any windows except for a large glass pyramid on top of the facility that would glow purple whenever he was in the building.

Apparently inside it is the complete opposite of its functional facade, and is like a museum with themed rooms- including a 1950's style diner and a private nightclub. The symbol that for a time in the 90's represented his name features heavily throughout apparently.

The property also contains the 'Galaxy Room' which was intended for meditation, it is lit entirely by ultraviolet lights and has paintings of planets on the walls. There are also large scale murals depicting Prince in various scenes.

It is said that one area he was modest about was his massive awards collection, keeping his awards locked away in a basement room along with unrelased material. His private office contained enormous beds, one mirror (over the king sized bed), sofas, chairs and a desk.

During his time at Paisley Park Prince recorded nearly 30 albums there and recently began throwing small, intimate concerts in the grounds for fans. No cameras were allowed and fans were encouraged to take away memories instead of pictures or videos. Tickets to these events sold for as little as ten dollars.
