11 Curious Facts About The Amazing Spider-man 2

If you havn't already seen The Amazing Spider-man 2 yet, then I've one question. Why? It's awesome. It's fast, funny, sexy and action backed to the spidyballs. Here are some thing you may not know about the movie.

1. It is the first "Spider-Man" film to be filmed entirely in New York, and the largest film production ever in New York City.

2. Andrew Garfield doesn’t think he's funny but he came up with the line about dubbing Jamie Fox’s Character, Electro, 'Sparkles'.

3. That dog Emma Stone walks in the park during the movie is actually, Ren, the dog Andrew and Emma adopted in 2013.

4. Shailene Woodley was cast as Mary-Jane Watson, and even filmed scenes. But her role was cut from the film. 

5. In Oscorp there's a set of metal wings, and an exoskeleton holding four arms. These are homages to Spider-Man's antagonists the Vulture and Doctor Octopus.

6. Spider-man wears Asics. His boots are made from Asics runnners that were mismantled and remade into spider-booties.

7. Chris Cooper who is Norman Osborn in the movie was consideredd for  the role of Doctor Octopus in the Toby Maguire movies.

8. Jane Levy and Kristen Stewart were both considered for the role of Mary Jane, before the character was dropped from the story.. Dodged a pulled there with KS. 

9. Spider-man is Jewish (says Andrew Garfield, anyway)

'He never feels like he’s doing enough. And Peter suffers from self-doubt. He ums and ahs about his future because he’s neurotic. He’s Jewish. It’s a defining feature.'

'I hope Jewish people won't mind the Cliché, because my father's Jewish. I have that in me for sure.'

10. Andrew Garfield went from 146pounds 18% body fat to 165 pounds and 7% body fat.

11. There were prostests against the movie being shot in Williamsburg, Brooklyn during jewish passover. The community called it insentsitive and were worried about parking, but the studio and the citizens came to an agreement and films went ahead.
