The Public Rejoices As One Of Michael And Joanna Are To Leave Love Island

Love Island is nothing without drama. Every cliched dramatic device in the book is to be used to leave the audience on a knife-edge, and last night was no different.

During a 'club night' for the islanders, where they were to let loose after a day of second-guessing and double-takes, Caroline Flack waltzed in to truly ruin the buzz. The bearer of bad news unsurprisingly brought some bad news with her, informing the islanders that the public had been voting for their favourite couple. The bottom two couples were at risk of being dumped from the island.

It was up to the islanders to decide whether they wanted to save Anna and Jordan or Michael and Joanna.

In a twist, Anna and Jordan were saved by the public. That meant that one of Michael and Jordan would have to leave the villa.

Elsewhere in the villa, Anton's chickens came home to roost, informing Belle that he had given the 'shopkeeper' his number whilst out shopping. Coupled with that bombshell, a game of 'Snog, Marry, Pie' had Belle fuming further, as Anton smooched Anna. Anton was steadfast in his desire to stay with Belle, but cracks are appearing in their relationship. During that game of 'Snog, Marry, Pie', Amber took her opportunity to chuck a pie in ex-partner Michael's face.

Also, that 'shopkeeper' that Anton gave his number to, remember her? Well, eagle-eyed viewers spotted that she was also the BAR TENDER at the villa club night. Wait, you mean to tell me Love Island isn't sincere television?

Also, the audience once again gushed over Ovie, the greatest person ever to set foot in that godforsaken villa.
