Convicted Drugs Smuggler Michaella McCollum Tipped To Enter Celebrity Big Brother

The rumour mill has been going into overdrive for awhile and there's still no sign of it slowing down.

Ahead of the 2018 Celebrity Big Brother, speculation has been rife as to what names will be signing up to take part in the reality show. One person on everyone's lips is Michaella McCollum of the infamous 'Peru Two' who along with her friend Melissa Reid, was arrested back in 2013 for drugs smuggling.

11kg of cocaine was found in their luggage at a Peru airport and the girls were subsequently jailed. Tyrone native McCollum was released in 2016 and now it looks as if she could be one of the housemates we'll be watching when the show airs on January 5.

CBB attempts to mix it up each year to keep viewers' interests piqued and their latest offering will see an all-female cast on launch night to celebrate 100 years since women won the right to vote. As the series goes on, male contestants will start to join the girls.

Other rumoured contestants include Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson, Ginuwine who was responsible for that Magic Mike song (hint: Pony, ride it) and Laura Simpson whose CV includes being in Wayne Rooney's passenger seat when the footballer got caught for drunk driving
