Rob Lipsett's Sister 'Roz' Explains Why He Has Entered Love Island

Lookit I'm not even going to begin to pretend I know much, if anything about this Love Island. The last I had heard of it, Paddy Kielty was presenting and Lee Sharpe was inhabiting the island. Apparently Lee has since gone home and this year's version of the show is proving a huge summer hit, with Irish fitness vlogger Rob Lipsett joining as a late contestant this week.

Rob's sister Rosalind - Roz Lipsett for short - has been speaking to Independent.ie about why her brother has ventured onto the island she claims he's really looking for love.

Lipsett had been turned down an offer to join at the start of the show, due to work commitments but has since had a change of heart, as Roz explained, 'He just didn't realise the popularity of the show, just how big it was and then he saw how much fun it was and it was a good way to meet someone.'

Happy Irish Mammies day. Love this amazing woman beyond words ❤️

Roz has singled out one of the contestants as the one she hopes Rob hooks up with - Ms Montana Brown:

Rob's a real relationship person. He's been single a few months and I think he's looking to date someone seriously. I would love him to date Montana. I absolutely love her because she's so fit. She looks after herself and she's also really funny.

Even if it didn't turn into a relationship and they just slept with each other at least he'd be then able to use the line 'I've never been to America but I was in some state last night.'

Although nothing like that is going to happen according Roz, who described him as a 'good Catholic boy.' He's also not a big drinker but his sister explained that the show is quite strict on what contestants drink anyhow:

He was telling me that they're actually really limited on alcohol. They're not allowed more than two drinks max every night. The producers want them to focus on looking good and finding love.

Oh well, they'll just have to sit there soberly while the rest of the world reaches for the wine to numb the extraordinary jealousy of all the guns and bums on show.
