WATCH: The Trailer For Game Of Thrones Season 8 Is Here And It Looks Epic

With only 39 days to go, the trailer for Season 8, the final season of Game of Thrones is here and it looks epic.

Watch the Trailer here:

In typical Game of Thrones fashion, the trailer doesn't give too much away. The opening scenes Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams is looking rattled as she runs away from something or someone. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly Massie described the filming of the final season leaving her "broken as a human" due to the epic battle scenes. Arya's storyline throughout has built up to this final showdown and coming face to face with Queen Cersei.

The 2-minute trailer shows clips of all our favourite characters including Gendrywho will always be known to us as Chris from Skins. With the final season fast approaching, one of the biggest talking points is the fate of Jamie Lannister. In the last season, we could see his inner conflict with standing behind his sister Queen Cersei, the best TV villain, ever, period. Will Jamie continue to pledge his allegiance to his sister and the women he loves or will he fight the good fight. In the trailer, Jamie states "I promised to fight for the living", which suggests Jamie could support Jon Snow and Queen Daenerys Targaryen in their fight against the Night King’s army of the dead.

The trailer concluded with a brief shot of the feet of a horse from the arm of the dead suggesting the series is building up to a battle scene between the living and the dead. The trailer also shows snippets of fire and dragons, contrasting Winter snow and meaningful exchanges between Jon Snow Daenerys Mother of Dragons.

The final season will air on Sky Atlantic on the 14th of April. Unlike previous seasons which were made up of ten episodes, season 8 is only six episodes.
