Quick 'n' Easy Recipe Of The Week: Overnight Oats

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but often as a student it can be hard to pull yourself out of bed on time and into the kitchen. These overnight oats are gonna CHANGE. YOUR. LIFE. and make you one of the most pro-active, health conscious and sophisticated individual in the entire campus. You can prep this dish before heading to bed (or out on the lash) so that they are the waiting for you patiently the next day in the fridge, waiting to be devoured

Spruce them up any way you like... and devour them you will because they are f*cking fantastic!

• 70g rolled oats
• 1 tbsp chia seeds
• 1 tbsp flaked almonds
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 2 medium bananas
• 2 tbsp honey
• 200ml milk
• generous handful of strawberries and blueberries, and raspberries & some yogurt (to serve)

1. Add the dry ingredients to a good-sized bowl and give a little mix around.
2. Thinly slice the bananas and add to the oats along with the milk and honey. Give the mixture a bit of spoon action once again, so that all your ingredients are evenly spread out. (The more mashed the bananas are, the more of a pudding-like your breakfast will be.)
3. Cover and leave in the fridge over night.
4. To serve, slice a few strawberries and place aside. Scoop the oats into a bowl and top with fruit and yogurt, and there ya go, Bob’s your uncle!

HANDY TIP: Pop the oats into a little leftover jam jar for mornings you are in a rush! That way you can just pop it in your bag and take it on the run with you!

Not only is this a useful trick, but it creates the perfect subject for a great Instagram too… there’s no point being sophisticated and healthy if you’re not going to tell anyone on social media after all!
