Thousands Late To Work This Morning Due To Vandalism On Irish Rail Lines

Thousand of workers on their way in to Dublin this morning were delayed up to 40 minutes due to signal cable vandalism on the Heuston line between Sallins and Newbridge, Irish rail reports.

Thousands have been told they should expect serious delays on their commute into work this morning, with the line affecting those travelling to Grand Canal Dock.

Irish railed Tweeted on the matter this morning:

Commuters are slowly but surely beginning to get to work, after spending near to an hour waiting for the trains to resume.

Irish rail were quick on the scene and had the signal fixed within an hour, so we could all make it in to work. How many of us were secretly hoping it would give us an excuse to stay a little bit longer out of the office..

After 8am this morning that the signals were restored and passengers began to make their way into the city.

All lines are back up and running as normal.
