Watch: Secondary School Students Post Heartfelt Video For International Women's Day

Today is International Women's Day and, as expected, marches and celebrations are taking place throughout the country. Here in Ireland, companies like Aer Lingus are celebrating women's day by offering priority boarding to women and later today the company will charter a flight from Dublin to New York with just a crew of women. Away from the skies, and a little closer to home, a group of teenage lads decided to tell the world about their favourite women in their lives.

The Transition Year lads of St Mary's CBS in Portlaoise posted a charming video on Youtube earlier today describing their love for everyone from Kim Kardashian to their Grannies.

One student shared a heartfelt message to his Mam: "My Mam has always believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself. She lives and breathes to make my life better" while another student thanked his Mam for washing his dirty underwear.

Talking through The Script's 'Standing In The Hall Of Fame', the students from the all-boys school will bring a tear to your eye and make you chuckle. Well done lads, it looks like you've already done your bit for Mother's Day too.
