Limerick Students Lure Dog To Its Death In Drunken Game

According to a story that appeared in Sunday's Limerick Leader, a sick game devised by a group of students from the University of Limerick lead to the death of a dog.

UPDATE (19:01, 4/6/2013): The University of Limerick today issued a statement on the situation, saying that they are working with An Gardaí Síochána and have launched an investigation into the incident. You can read the full statement here.

In a statement on the incident, UL Students Union president Adam Moursy said that "the students of UL who have collectively had their reputations tarnished due to the alleged actions of a small number of students."

"The university and the Students Union improve and increase their communications with the stakeholders of the local community year on year. I will personally condemn any acts of anti-social behaviour, both on and off campus,” said Mr Moursy, who has received a significant amount of calls and emails complimenting the behaviour of students this year."
