How should you answer?
Answering honestly can get you into trouble...
Neither person will like it if the other has slept with way more people than them. Especially if your number is incredibly high. This will probably make your partner suspicious, self-conscious and a little paranoid. On the other hand, if you're a virgin or if your number is very low, it might be embarrassing for you to admit, especially if you find out they've slept with a good few people. Telling each other your number can also lead to problems later on in your relationship. It can make one of you bitter or jealous and could be brought up against you during arguments.
However, if you're going to get into a sexual relationship with someone, it's a talk you should have at some point. It's important to know what you're entering into (excuse the pun).
