It can be seen as either a mark of respect or as the beginning of the end but whatever way you interpret it, Flo Rida only sings on straight up anthems. With this in mind it was no surprise that just a few months ago he turned to Infinity Ink – Infinity as his latest prey. The song was a stone cold anthem in the summer of 2012 and is one of the most recognizable vocal tracks of the past few years.. The simple combination of a devastating bassline and an infectious hook is something that is often underestimated but its something the English pair understand intimately and that has played a major part in their recent rise.
This is a duo with an enormous amount of talent. Infinity Ink is a project that allows both Ali Love and Luca C to showcase their fine skills. The first has a stellar reputation as a vocalist having worked alongside the Chemical Brothers and Justice amongst others while Luca C forged his name as a keen producer alongside Brigante before linking in with Love ahead of their current success.
As if things weren’t good enough for the duo they also play a pivotal part in deep house supergroup (I actually enjoy using that word for some reason) Hot Natured. Alongside titans Lee Foss and Jamie Jones they have put together a very special offering in Different Sides Of The Sun. The album shows off the vocal dexterity of Ali Love perfectly while also allowing Luca C to showcase some of his production flair. It comes together beautifully and caps a massively successful two years for the quartet.
This Friday Dublin has the chance to sample the delights of Ali Love and Luca C for themselves. The enigmatic duo will make an appearance at new night JACK (Button Factory) which has already been attracting significant attention following sellout visits from Flashmob and Fritz Kalkbrenner. Lining up alongside Bedrock favourite Eagles & Butterflies and local don David De Valera this Friday looks like a spectacle not to be missed
