JK Rowling tweeted this morning that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is happening in 2016. The only catch is it's coming to the stage in London. So great for you if you live in London.
She tweeted, "I'm also very excited to confirm today that a new play called Harry Potter and the #CursedChild will be opening in London next year."
She doesn't want to spoil it on her fans but she confirmed that it's not going to be a prequel.

And if you're feeling a bit miffed off that you can't go to London to see it she explained, "To answer one inevitable (and reasonable!) question - why isn't #CursedChild a new novel? - I am confident that when audiences see the play they will agree that it was the only proper medium for the story."
There's no news on it being a worldwide tour of the play, but fingers crossed!
