What Really Happens When You Meet Your Ex

So you've been a single girl for coming up on 3 months. All things considered you are doing great. Yes, you are a stone heavier but that's to be expected. Yes, you still think about him every 2 minutes but in comparison pre-intervention stages this is a great feat.

A quick pick up 5 snickers bars and 3 packs of wheelies 'supplies' trip requires venturing into the outside world. You've squeezed back into your skinny jeans, and your brother's hoodie and you could only find your dad's coat so that had to do. It's been a tough few months. To be fair you don't look the best but sure what can happen on a simple 10 minute trip to Spar?

Well, actually a lot can happen…

No sooner are you walking in the door then you get that shiver that tells you he's here.. You want to rip him to shreds say hello.  But it's all sorts of awkward. The following is what happens when you meet an ex:

You will be in shock

You will want to run away

He will look amazing

You will engage in meaningless small talk and he probably will ask how your mother is.

or this

Thoughts of this will probably pop into your mind..

Cut it off at 5 minutes. He will probably say let's be friends but all you will think of is this

As the infamous book title states; It's Called A Break Up Because It's Broken. Walk on. He does not deserve you in his life in any way, shape or form.

You will probably go home, question yourself endlessly, and most likely speed dial a Dominoes

Get a friend over

Have a bitch and moan. She will give sage wisdom.

Then...

After a period of time you will move on and next time you see him you won't give a shit.

We know from experience this does actually happen.. it just takes time. How much time differs for all..

He may even come groveling back and you could be like this..
