Chanel Iman Robinson, more commonly known as Chanel Iman, is one of the youngest and most successful African-American high fashion models of her generation.
Chanel was born in 1990, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her mother is half Korean and half African-American and her father, African-American.
Chanel was first discovered my Ford Modelling Agency and debuted her runway career in 2006 with fashion designers such as Valentino and Marc Jacobs. Word soon spread about Chanel’s potential as a model and soon she was nabbed by designers like Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Louis Vutton, Alexander McQueen and the creme de la creme of fashion houses and fashion designers. Spring 2009, Chanel was the first black model to model for Gucci in 8 years!

At age 16, Chanel was the youngest to grace the cover of Vogue magazine and the third black model to grace the cover also. Chanel has walked in the 2009, 2010 and 2011 Victoria Secret fashion show, but it was in 2010 when Chanel earned her first pair of wings.

Miss Iman has a tattoo on the back of her neck of a hanger and her name underneath, symbolising her love for fashion and modelling.
Chanel has been dating Chris Smith since 2009 when it was made official on her Twitter account when she referred to him as her “prince”.
One thing is for sure, Chanel Iman is definitely one to watch out for, because she isn't going anywhere.
