There Is A Healy-Rae Special On The Late Late Show Tonight

Nothing makes sense anymore does it? For some reason, Ireland's greatest political dynasty is on the Late Late Show couch tonight. Tubs will be talking to Michael Healy-Rae, Danny Healy-Rae, Johnny Healy-Rae, Maura Healy-Rae and Jackie Healy-Rae Junior. A family affair for sure.

With a bit of luck, we'll hear about some of the family's more interesting views.  Personally, I would love to hear Danny talk more about fairies, vegetarianism, the deer taking over or his theories on drink driving. It would also be entertaining viewing to get into the whole climate change thing again, given how badly Michael Healy-Rae was received in the recent RTE debate. A known climate change 'sceptic', RTE faced heavy criticism for featuring Healy-Rae on the show. His brother Danny Healy-Rae famously stated that he does not "subscribe to the idea that man can influence climate" and "God above is in charge of the weather and we here can't do anything about it".

Another set of brothers joining Tubridy tonight is  Limerick billionaires, the Collison brothers. The siblings turned their online payments firm into a company now worth $22 billion dollars. Also on will be the family of the late Laura Brennan, the Clare native who made a huge impact when she appeared on the show in April last year to tell her story of being diagnosed with terminal cervical cancer and to raise awareness of the HPV vaccine.

Providing music on the night will be The Waterboys, and Luka Bloom will perform Ireland's favourite folk song.

If you're not enticed by the Healy Rae clan, Graham Norton has the usual A-List lineup. Chris Hemsworth is in to chat Avengers and his role in the upcoming Men in Black movie. He’ll be joined by the stars of Good Omens, Michael Sheen and David Tennant, who will discuss their roles in a new TV show coming to Amazon Prime.

The great Gloria Estefan will chat to Graham about a string of upcoming performances of On Your Feet! the Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan, at the London Coliseum, while music will come from Jonas Brothers.
