The First 50 People To Turn Up To This Event Will Get A Free Meal

Trinity College's Environmental Society will be teaming up with Voice of Irish Concern for the Environment (VOICE), to host a food waste awareness event this week.

The Trinity food waste event will use food that would be heading to the bin for recipes and highlighting the amount of food that goes to waste in Ireland. The event itself will be happening on Thursday, 26th January, and all the food that will be used to make delicious recipes will be extra food donated by Keelings.

A whopping 30% of food get thrown down the bin in Ireland, and VOICE want to change that figure. Not only will the event aim to raise awareness, but they also want to show students how to reduce food waste and save you dollar bills.

As well as that, the first 50 people to turn up at the event will get a voucher for a free meal, with a two-course meal only costing €5 after – ka-ching.
