Avocado Art Is A Thing, And It's As Notion-y As You Would Expect

This is most definitely taking the avocado trend a step too far. This month alone we were unfortunate enough to hear about avolattes, (avocado lattes for you non-hipsters) but this trend is just a tad bit ridiculous.

People with far too much time on their hands are now carving intricate designs into the popular food item. In particular, Italian artist Daniele Barresi for The Avocado Show, a restaurant based in Amsterdam. The 26-year-old has some seriously impressive work, racing against the clock to make sure the temperamental fruit doesn't turn brown.

However, this isn't the only place making Avocado art, tonnes of other Insta-people have been doing their own thing with avocados.

Sure some people have even gone and made carvings out of the avocado's stone.

Is this a trend that Irish people can get behind?
