Lighthouse Cinema Is Holding A Harry Potter Sleepover Showing All Movies

Brace yourselves Harry Potter fans, Dublin's Lighthouse cinema is holding a Harry Potter sleepover. Fans can enjoy an overnight stay in screen one in the cinema and watch all eight films back to back. The screening will last 1,365 minutes in total. Have your wands and cloaks at the ready as fancy dress is encouraged.

 

The Harry Potter sleepover event is part of the 'Wonder Years- Films to grow up with' season which is running throughout the summer from 13th June to 13th September. The art cinema has hand-picked some of classic coming of age films, "the films we grew up with, the films that helped us to grow." In addition to the Harry Potter films, the Lighthouse cinema will be screening Mean Girls, Stand by Me and To Kill a Mockingbird, coming of age films for every generation.

Last month, J.K. Rowling revealed that she is going to release four brand new stories from the wizarding world this summer. The first stories will be released June 27th via eBook on the Pottermore website.

The new material will be based around the lessons on offer at Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and Herbology, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures. Exciting developments all round for Harry Potter fans.
