During a power outage in Lake Worth and Terminus, Florida on Sunday evening at 1.45am, a push notification was sent out to residents of the area warning them of a Zombie apocalypse that was going down during the power outage.
The message read “There are now far less than seven-thousand-three-hundred-eighty customers involved due to extreme zombie activity."
Receiving this message from city authority during a power cut would definitely give you a shock, especially in a state where a lot of The Walking Dead is set.

Residents who received the notification didn’t take it so seriously and presumed it to be a prank. The only thing is what kind of authority would prank their residents like that??
Officials were forced to deny that an attack was under way and sent out another notification to their residents stating “I want to reiterate that Lake Worth does not have any zombie activity currently and apologize for the system message.”
The one thing that shocks me about that message is how they added ‘currently’ instead of denying that it will ever happen...
