The Great British Bake Off will be airing later than usual this year, having started filming in April. Originally, it was not going to be shown at all in 2017 due to its prior BBC contract. However, Channel 4's Chief Creative Officer confirmed that it would be back on our screens at some point this year. The news is bittersweet for GBBO fans. It's only hitting us now that we won't have Mary, nor will we have Mel or Sue. Ouch.
Don't get us wrong, we like Noel Fielding and we've nothing against Sandi Toksvig or Prue Leith. But without the usual gang dynamic, we're afraid that Bake Off will be left with a bit of a soggy bottom.
