This Spotify Quiz Is One Of The Best Time-Killing Games Ever

We all have our own preferred ways of killing time. Whether it's engaging with a treasured hobby, playing an instrument, or simply just staring into a mirror and screaming at your reflection as you consider the sins of your past, we all have our ol' favourites for when we've a few minutes of the clock to wind down. I once knew of a man who, whenever he had some time alone, set his sights on creating life-size facsimiles of each member of S Club Juniors out of flan. He would spend hours, whittling away at a large pulpy mass of sugar, attempting to somehow coax it into becoming a sort of passable resemblance for Frankie Sandford. Of course he never could, and each of his attempts was nothing short of, and I don't use this phrase lightly, a flan-based monstrosity. Of course no-one ever told him this as he was, evidently, quite odd, and though kind - if you looked into his eye - it was obvious that he seemed to possess a barely concealed capacity for violence.

However, a there now exists a game which has rendered all other forms of time-wasting obsolete. It is a game so powerfully wonderful, and joyously simple that it as soon as you play it, it seems as if it must have always existed.

The game, called 'Top Of The Spots' - which can be played on any browser - presents to you a simple challenge, you are shown two songs and you must pick which of them has been streamed more times on Spotify.

'Hotel California' by The Eagles or 'It Wasn't Me' By Shaggy?
'It Wasn't Me' by Shaggy or 'Gimme Shelter' by The Rolling Stones?
'Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen or 'Boombastic' by Shaggy?
'Angels' by Robbie Williams or 'Angel' by Shaggy?

I feel it necessary to point out at this point that not all of the choices you will be presented with will involve Shaggy and that is because, and I don't think you really need me to tell you this, we do not live in an ideal world. But oh, if only we did.

Play 'Top Of The Spots' here.

Our highest score so far is 16. You can also challenge your friends through the game. Prepare to sacrifice all your spare time to this game. Prepare for what were once priorities to fall by the wayside. Your personal hygiene will suffer, your reltionships will suffer, you may start calling in sick to work, however you stand a chance to become very good at this game. With enough hours piled into it, it may become second nature for you to guess just how many times Portishead's 'Glory Box' has been streamed on Spotify.
