10 Films To Look Forward To This Summer

It's looking like a few good films are in store this Summer. We've broken them down for you so you can plan your trips to the cinema accordingly. We've also included trailers, everyone loves trailers.

This Is The End

A comedy about some of Hollywood's biggest stars, such as James Franco and Jonah Hill, trying to survive the apocalypse together. What's not to love?
Release Date: 28th of June
Stars: Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Emma Watson and a whole host of others.
Look forward to this if you like: Superbad, Pineapple Express, Hott Fuzz.
Suggested cinema outing: Get any stoner friends you have together. They will enjoy.




Now You See Me

“Now You See Me” is the baby that “Ocean's Eleven” and “The Prestige” would have together. It follows a group of magicians that rob banks during their performances. The film looks set to be a smart, star-studded, crime thriller.
Release Date: 3rd of July
Stars: Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, Isla Fischer.
Look forward to this if you like: Limitless, Clash of the Titans, Ocean's Eleven.
Suggested cinema outing: Good one to go to with your Dad.





The Internship

“The Internship” reunites “Wedding Crashers” co-stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson and has a script that was co-written in part by Vaughn himself. The two play a pair of salesman who manage to bag an internship at Google and begin to compete for employment at the company.
Release Date: 4th of July
Stars: Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Rose Byrne.

Pacific Rim

A Sci-Fi adventure from acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro that promises to be an action-packed thrill ride. The film takes place in a world where humans are under threat of extinction from alien creatures and are forced to fight back in.... well... Giant Robot suits.
Release Date: 12th of July
Stars: Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Day.
Look Forward to this if you like: Transformers, The Avengers, Hellboy.
Suggested cinema outing: Go with anyone who is a true Transformers fan.





Monsters University

A prequel to the much loved Pixar hit “Monsters Inc” that takes a look at the beginning of Mike and Sulley's friendship during their college years.
Release Date: 12th of July
Stars: Billy Crystal, Helen Mirren, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi.
Look Forward to this if you like: Monsters Inc, Toy Story, Up.
Suggested cinema outing: Great film if you're babysitting or have to take the younger siblings out. Also a very safe date movie.





The Conjuring


“The Conjuring” is a horror from the man that brought you “Insidious” and “Saw”. It follows a pair of paranormal investigators who get entangled in a terrifying case at a family farmhouse.
Release Date: 2nd of August
Stars: Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga.
Look Forward to this if you like: Insidious, Sinister, Saw.
Suggested cinema outing: Scary films are good for dates because there's a lot of embracing but probably better off going with a group of hard cores who don't block their eyes. 






The Lone Ranger

An action adventure from director Gore Verbinski that appears to be in the same vein as “The Pirates of the Caribbean”. The film tells the take of Tonto, a Native American, and John Reid, a Texas ranger, as they adventure over America's wild west.
Release Date: 9th of August.
Stars: Johnny Depp, Arnie Hammer, Helena Bonham Carter.
Look Forward to this if you like: The Pirates of the Caribbean, The Legend of Zorro, National Treasure.
Suggested cinema outing: Go with anyone who claims to be a Helena Bonham Carter fan because whatever she's in, they'll worship.





Girl Most Likely

A comedy featuring “Bridesmaids” funny girl Kristen Wiig and Darren Criss of “Glee”. Wiig plays a failed playwright as she struggles to deal with not being able to meet anyone's expectations.
Release Date: 26th of July
Stars: Kristen Wiig, Matt Dillon, Darren Criss, Annette Bening.

Pain and Gain

“Pain and Gain” is the new film from”Bad Boys” and “Transformers” director Michael Bay. This Comedy/Crime/Drama follows three bodybuilders who get caught up in a crime that has gone horribly wrong.

Stars: Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris.

In this comedy, a pot dealer creates the worlds most dysfunctional fake family in order to smuggle drugs across the U.S./Mexico border. Also Jennifer Aniston plays a stripper...
