Give the people what they want we say! The Blacker aka Dusk nightclub wasn't just a nightclub, it was an institution. It closed its doors on the 26th October 2015, and Coolock hasn't been the same since.
People will remember 'The Blacker' for the blinding lights outside, the dreaded car park where you never knew what you'd find, (like an arrest) walking home with your heels in your hand because your gaff was around the corner, the sawdust on the floor that was used to cover the mountains of sick, and of course, Welfare Wednesday.

The campaign to re-open 'The Blacker' has been in the pipeline for an entire year and has over 590 signatures. Good-willed ex-patrons have commented under the petitions stating why they miss the old stomping ground;
'Miss the blacker big time and the buzz dancing our legs off the friends I've made the great bar staff. The Monday club not the same anymore, so bring back the nightclub xxx.'
'This place needs to be reopened, SIMPLE AS.'

Someone even met their wife there...
'It was my second home and me and all the lads had some good times that were I meet my wife.'
Sure, if it's good enough for someone to meet their wife there, it's good enough for us. Bring back 'The Blacker'!
