Here's A Chilling Look At The Handmaid's Tale Season 2

The Handmaid's Tale season 2 looks petrifying.

The award winning adaptation of Margaret Atwood's dystopian novel of The Handmaid's Tale will debut in April and given the success of season 1 at the Golden Globes and Critics' Choice Awards, its follow up has big shoes to fill.

Hulu has given us a bleak insight into what fans should expect by releasing haunting images of season 2.

Little has been given away about what's to come so as not to spoil the story for viewers but executive producer, Bruce Miller told Entertainment Weekly that the season will delve into the lives of the refugees who have escaped Gilead as well as those who have been exiled to the Colonies, the polluted and contaminated areas of North America.

Miller also acknowledged that following up on the success of season 1 was never going to be an easy task.

The biggest barrier of season 2 was season 1.

You sort of intimidate yourself. But at a certain point, you can’t spend all your time second-guessing things. Instead, you just have to remember to try and tell a good story.

Elizabeth Moss previously teased fans ahead of the much anticipated season, telling TV Guide:

Don't try to guess what happens in that first scene of episode one in season two.

You will never get it, and I mean that objectively as a viewer. You just won't guess, and I love that so much.

The second season of The Handmaid's Tale will premier on Hulu in April.
