The Definitive Low Down Of The BAFTAs

The Definitive Low Down Of The BAFTAs

The BAFTA awards are highly anticipated every year with the biggest Hollywood stars in attendance such as Jennifer Laurence, Margot Robbie, Daniel Day Lewis, Saoirse Ronan, the list goes on. The awards recognise the best of the industry. This year was exceptionally special as we saw stars stand together in support of the Time's Up Movement. For those of you who may not have heard of this relatively new movement, it is a movement to try curtail and expose the prolific culture of sexual harassment that pervades the entertainment industry. It was founded by Hollywood celebrities on January 1st of this year. The majority of stars graced the red carpet dressed in black for the 'black out' statement. It's absolutely incredible to see such a powerful group of people stand for something important. Although there were a few stars who opted for a slightly different dress code, the 'black out' statement was seen and heard from a far.

On top of the solidarity seen at this years award ceremony, we see some of the most deserving actors, actresses, crew's and productions take home the awards. Keep reading for the full list of the 2018 BAFTA nominees and winners.
