It's been far too long since we had a decent mishap live on Irish television. Across the water BBC had Huw Edwards sitting in silence on the news for two minutes this week but Jesus I can't even remember the last time Irish tv gave us a chuckle.
Step foward Mr Deric Hartigan. The TV3 weather presenter was on Ireland: AM this morning and was in the middle of a run-of-the-mill forecast when it suddenly took a turn that neither he nor anyone else was expecting.
The reaction in studio was suitably great.
