Sometimes in life it's the little things that give us the most joy.
Take for example, classic TV shows translated into other languages. And while these may be perfectly normal to people, y'know, living in these countries... well, let's be honest. To us, they sound quite frankly ridic.
So sit back, relax and get ready to laugh at the hilarious translated theme songs below.
1. Pokemon in Chinese
Fair enough, it's originally a Japanese show but for some reason it just doesn't sound right to us sung in Chinese. Also, it's nowhere near as catchy as the English version we know and love...
'I WANNA BE THE VERY BEST...'
2. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in Spanish
This is just plain wrong.
3. Tom and Jerry Kids in Hindi
Perhaps the best version of all, this Hindi dub will make you leave you unable to ever look at Tom and Jerry the same way again.
4. Spongebob in Irish
Okay, well this is nothing new to anyone who grew up here. Who hasn't spent a Sunday afternoon flicking through channels and stumbled across this gem on TG4?
5. Bear in the Big Blue House in Japanese
Check out bear and moon singing their well known goodbye song – in Japanese. It sounds so wrong, but I can't stop listening.
