The first trailer for new doc 'Tickled' has just been released and it looks SO GOOD!! If, like us, you like documentaries erring on the weird side of things, look no further... This creepy gem is a look into the secret underworld of 'competitive endurance tickling' in America. Ok, it's a very odd video because it emerges while watching, that this secret 'sport' is hiding some very shady secrets.
Journalist David Farrier rom New Zealand, came across a company offering to pay men to be tied up and tickled until they couldn't handle it. Curiosity piqued he requested and interview with the company and rather than a simple yes or no answer, Farrier came in for a barrage of homophobic insults and abuse from the the group.
As a result of this strange reaction- Farrier decided to make the documentary with collaborator Dylan Reeve. The pair investigated further and realised that the whole underground tickling thing was a way bigger business than they could ever have imagined. The documentary was really well received at the recent Sundance festival and is due to be shown in New Zealand next month and in the US in June.
