If you've been wondering how to deactivate Facebook, we've got you. Although to most people, doing something like deleting your Facebook account would be seen as blasphemous, there's loads of reasons why someone chooses to do it.
Maybe they've decided to join some sort of hippy cult and be one with nature, maybe they're going through a mid-life crisis, or maybe there just sick of all the bullshit that goes along with it. If you want to take a break from social media and actually get some real-life interaction, here's a step-by-step guide on how to deactivate your Facebook page.
Disclaimer: this will just deactivate your account not delete it, so you can always re-activate it if you'd like to.
1. Mosey on over to Facebook
2. Click the account tab on the top right corner of your page
3. Select Settings
4. Click Security in the left column
5. Choose deactivate my account and follow the steps to confirm
If you do decide to deactivate your account, your page won't be searchable or visible to people still on Facebook. If you want to come back to the dark side, all you have to do is sign in with your email and password – simples.
