Although the majority of the country voted to repeal the Eighth Amendment, a barbaric law that refused women access to healthcare treatment during pregnancy, a small few just can't seem to let it go.
In a an attempt to prevent abortions from happening on Irish soil a number of cases were brought before the High Court, which has not been successful. Now, in a last-ditch attempt, an ad is circulating with a step by step prayer to prevent abortions from reaching Ireland.
The ad for the prayer is appearing in Alive!, a Christian publication whose articles are usually written anonymously. Former SU president Katie Ascough has contributed to the publication in the past.
A Reddit user posted the prayer with the caption 'Yes voters hate this one weird trick' - a genius title:
The ad asks the reader to place their hands on the map of Ireland and recite the prayer in order to invoke God's power and 'confidently claim God's power' over Irish land to block abortion. The ad asks that we ask God for forgiveness because we've accepted witchcraft, abortifacients, contraception and sexual immorality into our hearts.

Of course, the hilarious people of Reddit had a field day especially as the prayer references Jesus as the King of Ireland:
