From today until July 16th, Child Leap Card holders can travel completely for free on all public transport services. This includes Dublin Bus, all Luas services, all DART services, all Commuter Rail services in Dublin’s “Short Hop Zone” and on the Cork to Cobh/Midleton train lines, Ashbourne Connect and Bus Éireann services where Leap Card is available.
This is part of the National Transport Authorities aim to get more people using Leap Cards. To avail of the offer all you have to do is use your Leap Card as normal and your journey will be free. The only catch is that you need to have at least 1 cent on your Leap Card for the offer to work.
Child Leap Cards are available to anyone aged under 19 and can be bought in shops availing of Leap Card top-up facilities.
