Here's How The Change In Dublin Bus Routes Will Impact TCD And UCD Students

In a move that's set to cause fewer delays for those traveling across Dublin for college, Dublin Bus is implementing changes to 17 of its routes.

The route changes will come into effect from Monday, January 29 and will be implemented in the College Green area of the capital.  The routes that will be affected by the rerouting include:

  • 25
  • 25a
  • 25b
  • 37
  • 39
  • 39a
  • 70

The routes traveling northbound/westbound will be rerouted via Tara Street and Burgh Quay. UCD students coming from the Northside using the 39a and 32x should take note of any changes that could impact their commute. However, there will be no changes to the bus stops on these routes.

Buses traveling from further outside the city will also be impacted by the rerouting:

  • 25x
  • 27x
  • 32x
  • 33x
  • 39x
  • 41x
  • 51x
  • 66x
  • 67x

These buses will be rerouted from traveling inbound in the morning will be rerouted via Hawkins Street, Townsend Street and Westland Row. Some bus stops along these routes will be changed. The impact of these changes will be monitored but the majority of the services impacted be northside Dublin (Malahide, Clarehall, Skerries, Swords, Howth, Ongar, Lucan, Clondalkin, Maynooth and Celbridge in Kildare).
